This is an exciting time at Enovix! We are looking for experienced candidates to help support our new 50,000 square-feet lithium-ion battery production facility in Fremont, California for commercialization of our 3D Silicon™ Lithium-ion Rechargeable Battery.

Facilities Engineering Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots issues related to HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing.
  • Creates action plans to address chronic or ongoing issues.
  • Develops preventive maintenance programs and schedules.
  • Documents preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
  • Trains other personnel on preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
  • Coordinates in-house resources or external contractors to perform maintenance and repair on a wide variety of facilities equipment.
  • Coordinates downtime or production interruptions for scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Determines spare parts and consumable requirements
  • Participates in after hours and weekend on-call coverage rotation.
  • Leads continuous improvement project teams.
  • Mentors junior facilities personnel.
  • Tracks infrastructure capacity including N+1 redundancy, develops contingency plans.

Project Management Responsibilities -

  • Interfaces with customers to understand project requirements.
  • Works with space planner / CAD draftsperson to create planning drawings for approval.
  • Develops budgetary estimates for variety of tenant improvement, lab build-out, or tool installation projects.
  • Performs in-house design and/or manages design-build efforts with external contractors or engineering consultants for tool installations, infrastructure projects, and tenant improvements.
  • Holds design reviews with external design firms at various stages of the design and permitting process and identifies value engineering opportunities.
  • Determines best means of execution for various projects including, design-build, or design-bid-build.
  • Works closely with Environmental, Health and Safety Manager to determine permitting and code requirements.
  • Provides budgetary estimates for prospective projects.
  • Develops design scope and submits RFQ to design firms for a variety of facilities projects as listed below.
  • Determines most cost-effective method form of bidding for given project including; lump sum, GMP, or T&M NTE.
  • Develops job scopes, bid documents, and holds contractor job walks to obtain competitive pricing for a variety of facilities projects including:
  • -Building architectural, mechanical, electrical, and process piping (MEP) projects.
  • -Production and R&D tool installations
  • -Facilities infrastructure projects
  • Manages selected contractor’s activities, ensuring adherence to safety standards, code compliance, workmanship, materials selection, adherence to site standard specifications, and quality.
  • Reviews and responds to submittals and RFI’s.
  • Develops detailed project timelines, Gantt charts, etc. to track and ensure timely execution of projects.
  • Maintains meeting minutes and action items related to project execution.
  • Tracks budget and spending and inputs into database.
  • Generates purchase requisitions, approves invoices, handles administrative tasks related to billing and cost tracking.
  • Performs project punch-list, closeout, as-built documentation, etc.
  • Interfaces with city planning, permitting, and inspection personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Solid background and experience in facilities engineering and facilities project/construction management in an industrial semiconductor environment.
  • Detail oriented, with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Self-starter, self-motivated individual with good time management skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Solid skills in Microsoft applications. (MS Excel, Outlook, MS Project, etc.)
  • Familiarity with building management systems.
  • Customer oriented.
  • Problem solver.
  • Strong organizational skills.
