Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tactical Control System (TCS) Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a strong background in Navy submarine operations, specifically as a Fire Control Technician (FT) or in a similar role. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of the AN/BYG-1 combat system, including its functionality, operation, and integration within submarine platforms. As a TCS SME, you will provide technical expertise to support system development, testing, training, and lifecycle sustainment of Navy submarine combat systems. This is a 3 month contract to hire and offers 2-3 days of remote work per week.

Responsibilities:
- Provide subject matter expertise on the AN/BYG-1 combat system and related tactical control systems used aboard Navy submarines.
- Assist in system design, development, and testing to ensure operational requirements are met.
- Collaborate with engineers, program managers, and stakeholders to develop and refine system requirements and performance specifications.
- Conduct hands-on system evaluations, troubleshoot issues, and recommend solutions for system optimization.
- Develop, review, and update technical documentation, including system manuals, training materials, and maintenance procedures.
- Deliver training sessions and provide mentorship to Navy personnel and other stakeholders on the AN/BYG-1 system operation and maintenance.
- Participate in technical reviews, working groups, and program meetings to represent the operator's perspective.
- Support integration and testing activities at various locations, including Navy facilities and contractor sites.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for future system enhancements based on operational experience and emerging requirements.
