This role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT professional to join BeiGene’s Global Technology Services team, that values creative thinking, speed, efficiency, and pragmatism.

Reporting to the Director of Data Operations and Services, we are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced Associate Director of Data Integrations and robotic process automation (RPA) to establish, mature and operationalize data platforms and integrations.

This role will lead and build out an outsourced team to oversee management of enterprise data platforms that store, move, transform, visualize, and analyze BeiGene’s enterprise data. This leader is expected to drive the maturity, efficiency, and usability of our systems to better serve our data platform and application users. In addition, this leader will play a critical role to improve the scalability and reliability of our existing data pipelines, data models and automation robots that provide critical insights and process automation for BeiGene’s global business operations.

Essential Functions of the job:

  • Provides technical leadership for data pipeline design, development, maintenance, and migration.

  • Build and own automation and monitoring frameworks that capture metrics and operational KPIs for data pipelines quality and performance.

  • Lead and manage the data platform and integration team, providing mentorship and guidance as required.

  • Ensure the scalability and performance of the data pipelines and RPA processes to meet SLAs.

  • Proactively identify areas for improvement in the data platforms, data pipelines and data architecture to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with data architecture and development team to ensure a smooth transition from build to operations for new systems and applications.

  • Provide technical leadership to drive data tools and platform vision and roadmap with a focus to weigh tradeoffs between short-term goals and longer-term objectives.

  • Leverage innovative strategies and technologies to ensure the highest data quality standards are maintained within the EDW.

  • Manage project teams to optimize delivery against resources across project initiatives.

  • Maintain awareness of the latest developments in data technology and industry trends, incorporating new technologies as appropriate.

  • Prototype and build pilots for new technologies and approaches.

  • Documenting processes and ensuring data platforms in compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field/experiences

  • 8+ years of experience in supporting and operating data platforms deployed in Azure or AWS.

  • 8+ years of experience in managing complex data pipelines sourced from enterprise ERP systems such as SAP, Workday and Salesforce.

  • 3+ years of experience operating bots developed using RPA tools such as UIPath.

  • Experienced in managing GxP qualified data platforms deployed on-perm and in cloud environments.

  • Experience with managing and working directly with enterprise data lake, data warehouse, data visualization, and data science platforms.

  • Comfortable with both agile and SDLC project delivery models.

  • 5+ years of experience managing an offshore team of contractors and associated staff.

  • Able to influence and communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with team members and business stakeholders.

  • Experienced in resolving end-to-end issues with higher levels of management with minimum guidance.

  • Working knowledge of bio-pharma industry and clinical trials is strongly preferred.

Travel:

  • Up to 5%

Supervisory Responsibilities:
