Site People Operations Generalist, Sistersville WVSummary:
In this role, you will lead the day-to-day Human Resources and Labor Relations activities for our Sistersville, West Virginia, plant, supporting a workforce of more than 400 employees. You will collaborate closely with local operations managers, supervisors, and the HR team to ensure that HR processes are executed effectively and consistently.You will model and promote behaviors that align with the company’s Core Values, while coaching and influencing leaders and managers to do the same. As the primary resource for interpreting and applying the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), you will provide guidance to supervisors and managers, helping them navigate contract-related matters with confidence and clarity.
Your ability to build strong, respectful relationships with union representatives and represented employees will be essential to fostering a collaborative and collegial work environment. You will also ensure that all HR and labor relations activities are carried out in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, standards, permits, and contractual obligations.
Please note that this role requires on-site presence five days per week, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities Include:
40% HR Advising / Coaching / Business Partnering
Advise managers and first-level supervisors regarding managing employees
Participate in cross-functional collaborative discussions, working sessions
Facilitate team sessions
Participate with local leadership and the strategic HR business partner to identify hiring needs
Union interface on all contractual and policy issues
30% Employee Life Cycle
Ensure new employees receive site-specific new hire orientations
Employee changes: Adjustments / Promotions
Employee Relations / Labor Relations
Assist in conversations with the employee/manager
Address employee concerns/issues/investigations promptly
Labor relations, grievance process steps, union avoidance, and union activity
Implement HR programs, policies, practices, and tools locally, including performance management, Goals and Objectives, Development Planning, Change Management, Corrective Action, Relocation, etc.
Advocate for employees by resolving conflicts and seeking win-win solutions, promoting positive and effective associate relations, and influencing a focus on human issues in the organization
10% Talent Management / Staffing
Recruiting efforts, including debriefs and the hiring process. Partner with the Talent team to determine the process and strategy to fill vacancies. Participate in the interviewing and selection process to facilitate the selection of the best-qualified candidates
Employee Development
Training & Development - Facilitate training on key company processes, to ensure leaders, managers, and employees have a solid understanding and to drive common practice throughout the company.

15% HR Skillset Development
Maintain basic business skills, such as PowerPoint, Excel, Workday, and SharePoint
Develop strength in the suite of Core HR skills: Staffing, EE Lifecycle Relations, HR Systems, Compliance, EE Development and Performance, Total Compensation, and internal equity
Build/maintain external market knowledge
Initiate continuous improvement to HR processes to eliminate waste and raise service levels, including process documentation, workflow optimization, and reassessing the value of work tasks
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
The following are required for the role
3+ years or more of experience with hands-on labor relations/union activities in a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or a related field; equivalent education and relevant experience will also be considered.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of WV state and federal labor laws, especially the NLRA.
Experience with the union grievance process and serving /man
