About the role

The Position

At Hive, we're building the leading operations platform for independent commerce. As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a (Senior) Product Manager to join us. This role is key in further realizing our product vision over the years to come.

You'll be joining a cross-functional product development team end-to-end, owning the roadmap and execution for your area. Your work will impact hundreds of commerce brands and millions of end customers. We are concretely looking for PMs that will work on our end customer offering (“Customer Portal” and “Delivery Promise”) to drive merchant growth through conversion and retention.

What you’ll be doing

Take ownership of your roadmap. Co-create and own the roadmap for your domain. Develop and plan functionality that aligns customer needs with our objectives, and translate them into actionable plans, representing our customers’ problems throughout.

Lead product discovery initiatives. Uncover what we should be building next and why, by conducting product discovery through user research, data analysis, and feedback from stakeholders. Gather customer and internal feedback to shape functionality and future focus topics.

Drive product execution. Own the product development flow end-to-end for your domain, from concept to rollout to our customers or fulfillment centers. Ensure roadmap execution at high-quality that meets customer and business needs.

Define and measure success. Define success metrics (e.g., solve the identified problem or improve a specific performance metric) during discovery and planning, and ensure we're working in that direction. Use the learnings to derive conclusions informing future product development and iterations.

Use insights to drive the experience. Analyze product usage and other sources of data to effectively drive prioritization. Uncover potentially unmet needs and opportunities, and inform how to improve the product suite overall.

Facilitate collaboration across the organization. Your (and your products') success ultimately depends on working effectively with your cross-functional collaborators in product, design and engineering, but also with teams and leaders across the wider organization. Set up and drive alignment across business functions in service of the product and business

Your profile

We know - sometimes, you can’t tick every box. We would still love to hear from you if you think you’re a good fit!

Been there, done that. Ideally, you bring product experience from high growth startups, technology companies, or relevant corporate environments (e.g., large enterprises with software development teams) — with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams

Focused on impact. You're focused on deeply understanding and solving customer problems, and drive impact for the business — and can point to examples of that

High product sense. You care about what makes products "work", see details that others don't see, and are up-to-date with what's happening

Drawn to complex problems. You're proactively resolving issues along the way, be it to unblock the team or remove any uncertainties along the way, and are consistently finding yourself in complex problem spaces that can be improved significantly

Strong at project management and collaboration. You have ample experience working with engineering and design counterparts, and are able to work effectively across an entire organization, liaising across levels and functions

Excellent communicator. Stellar written and verbal communication abilities, with a talent for conveying product-related matters across the organization, in particular towards engineering and design counterparts

Analytical and strategic rigor. You're able to cut through the noise and lean on data to drive decisions, adept at doing data analysis yourself (SQL, Sheets, …), and able to reason holistically about prioritization and product decisions
