Production Coordinator, Machining (Starship)

PRODUCTION COORDINATOR, MACHINING (STARSHIP)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor, track, and coordinate movement of parts as required through the production flow to ensure timely delivery to the next production location
- Create tote containers for WO’s (Work Order) and WIP’s (Work-in-Progress)
- RFI (Inventory Request) material for upcoming jobs, machine lineside material cycle counts, and outside storage organization
- Tooling setup sheet gathering and distribution
- Maintain tooling management system, placing orders from system generated inventory demand. Restock incoming tooling
- Keep the machine shop moving smoothly by implementing and maintaining 5S standards. Assist in organizing chip bins and empty when necessary
- Organize and maintain the physical and electronic library calibrated devices database
- Develop and maintain reports to highlight needs, deliverables, and constraints as required for internal and customer use
- Analyze available data and work with production supervisors and managers to develop and verify metrics as required to drive optimal results
- Work with planning, procurement, engineering, and production teams to ensure our ERP data is and remains clean and accurate
- Support logistics process through innovative staging of workflow as required
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 2+ years of experience with administration processes or manufacturing processes
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Strong computer skills, fluent with the suite of Microsoft Office products
- Organizational skills
- Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic manufacturing environments
- Experience in SQL and Power BI
- APICS certification
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to work all required shift hours, overtime and weekends, as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, repetitive movement, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting, exposure to typical shop chemicals (coolant, solvents, cleaners) are generally required to perform the functions of this position
- Ability to operate forklift
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:
Production Coordinator/Level 1: $20.00 - $23.00/per hour
Production Coordinator/Level 2: $22.50 - $27.00/per hour
Production Coordinator/Level 3: $25.00 - $30.00/per hour
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
