Full Stack Developer

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our UniQue Ispra team.

Our client in Ispra, Italy is one of the biggest science hubs in Europe.

It employs approximately 3.000 top-notch researchers, engineers and scientists eager to resolve challenges and provide knowledge in order to support EU policies in a variety of areas from agriculture and food security, to environment and climate change, as well as nuclear safety, security and growth.

At the moment, they are looking for a Full Stack Developer with extensive Java and Angular programming language knowledge What will you be bringing to the team?

• Analyze change requests, assess impact on applications and identify alternative solutions
• Design and develop new tools and web applications according to requirements
• Data analysis and data modelling. Participate in the analysis and design of database schemas/tables/etc
• Prototyping, design and development of architecture components and building blocks
• Integration with other applications/systems
• Formulation and/or elaboration of test cases/programs
• Participate in the deployment and configuration of the system (s)
• Participate in meetings with the contracting authority, project teams and user groups
• Production of technical documentation

Requirements

What do you need to succeed in this position?

• Master and 11 years of experience
• Excellent knowledge of web (progressive) application design and development
• ECMAScript (being able to program JavaScript code even without libraries or frameworks)
• Main JavaScript/Typescript frameworks (e.g. JQuery, D3.js, Angular, ExtJS).
• Applications design including usage of templating systems like Bootstrap.
• Java programming language including I/O, concurrency, localization.
• Tomcat servlet container including installation, maintenance, finetuning and web application design.
• Good knowledge of J2EE including Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and web services;
• Good knowledge of Relational DBMS including MySQL and/or SQLite and/or PostgreSQL.
• Good knowledge of continuous delivery and Application Lifecycle Management tools (Bamboo, JIRA, Git, etc.)
• Good knowledge of authentication protocols
• XML, XSL including Java libraries to parse and transform XML.
• JSON including Java libraries to parse and serialize data.
• Versioning systems.
• Testing.
• HTML5, CSS3 and/or SCSS.
• Modelling tools. UML.
• Very Good knowledge of English

Optional skills:

• Experience with Text Mining tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of additional languages, besides English.
