The Role

Identifies and implements business development projects relating to new products and/or industries, technologies, or services. Identifies markets, licensing opportunities, and determines the feasibility of product development. Performs economic analyses on new or improved product opportunities and/or business models and coordinates with internal departments in identifying/implementing business development projects. May work with sales, marketing and potential customers to determine their needs. Develops and disseminates information on a continuous basis to all pertinent parties concerning the fulfillment of project goals and objectives.

 

The Operational Strategy team works across the enterprise to establish investment and partnership strategies to meet customer demand, improve company performance, and introduce new technologies into the shipyard. In this position, you will lead the development of our cross-program, cross-workstream manufacturing strategy to increase manufacturing throughput, analyze constraints and opportunities, identify solutions, both internal and through partnerships, and lead stakeholders to execute the strategy.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading cross-functional teams to develop improvement and investment strategies for manufacturing improvement
  • Coordinating with Operational Strategy Leads to implement workforce, infrastructure, technology, process, and supply base improvements to support increased manufacturing throughput
  • Conducting diagnostic analyses to identify constraints and opportunities
  • Identifying and implementing new technologies and processes to streamline manufacturing operations
  • Managing execution of initiatives by partnering with stakeholders across the company
  • Leading internal teams and coordinating closely with initiative owners to develop and execute value creation plans, roadmaps and business cases
  • Preparing strategy documents for senior internal and external stakeholders

Must Have

Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline (or the equivalent in education, training and experience), plus a minimum of 6 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master's degree and 4 years relevant experience.
