Hardware Engineering Intern - Digital

- Learn professional techniques and perform tasks for one or more of these areas: schematic design, board layout, board validation, or FPGA programming
- Work and interact with a wide variety of NI staff in R&D hardware and software organizations
- Develop hardware and software solutions for design validation
- Perform research as required to complete your projects
- Diagnose and debug technical challenges
You are someone who works collaboratively in a group environment and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills. You take initiative, can be resourceful, and can make progress on work independently. You take ownership of your goals, regularly check-in, and ask questions in a timely manner to ensure success of project and tasks.
For This Role, You Will Need:
- Pursuing bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering, Software Engineering, or similar STEM-related field
- Sophomore or above standing
- Understanding of electronics, computers, and programming (VHDL or Verilog preferred)
- Strong interest in learning about and working with digital, analog, RF, and computer technologies
- Basic proficiency designing with digital logic and synchronous elements, including flip-flops, timing diagrams, and state machines
- Strong work ethic and drive to succeed
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering, Software Engineering, or similar STEM-related field
- Basic knowledge in analog circuit design principles
