For our Accounting department,at our location in Cologne we are looking for a
Thesis Development PhD/ Master student working on  ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) reporting

Your Shoes To Fill: 
 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data. 

  • Conduct research and analysis on ESG-related topics relevant to Birkenstock's operations. 

  • Support communication over ESG disclosures with external accounting firms, where required. 

  • Collaborate with our ESG department on ESG-related reporting in partnership to ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements. 

  • Keep up-to-date with the latest ESG regulations, guidelines and developments.


Your Walk Of Life:
 

  • Currently in the final year of a Master's or PhD program in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field, with plans to complete the studies with a thesis and practical experience on ESG related reporting. 

  • Understanding of ESG regulations, i.e. CSRD, EU Taxonomy, ISSB standards & TCFD framework 

  • Willingness and excitement to roll-out ESG reporting at Birkenstock and learn from our team of ESG experts. 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, provide actionable insights, and communicate effectively across a wide range of stakeholders.  

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. 

  • Fluent English is required.
