BHS Corrugated North America is seeking a Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst to join our growing team in our Hanover Park, IL facility!
Job Description:
The Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst will be responsible for preparing and recording journal entries, maintaining accurate product costing, and providing financial analysis supporting BHSNA Group value streams. This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of 60% in-office work and up to 10% travel.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan work to deliver accurate financial statements, narratives, and supporting schedules monthly per closing schedules.
- Responsible for month end close for multiple value streams, to include preparation and entry of journal entries, and ensure closing deadlines are met.
- Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts, with an accurate and appropriate supporting schedule produced by ERP system or with another type of supporting documentation.
- Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions.
- Participate in annual audit process.
- Complete special analysis and projects as assigned by Director or CFO.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
- Prepare and distribute regular and special-purpose financial reports.
- Prepare comparative evaluation of actual costs against budgeted costs and determine rationale for variances between budget and actual.
- Assist with cash flow forecasting.
- Provide financial support to other departments as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 4 to 7 years’ experience.
- Technical skills - Sound working knowledge of accounting principles and theory. Knowledge of financial reporting and analysis. Manufacturing and multi-divisional experience preferred.
- Computer skills - Excel, Word, Outlook. SAP, SAGE, Tagetiks and Qlik experience a plus.
- Soft skills - Should have strong organizational and communication skills, team player but the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work at a computer for up to eight (8) hours a day.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work at a computer for up to eight (8) hours a day.
- Ability to stand for at least forty-five (45) minutes at a time.
- Ability to lift up to thirty-five (35) pounds at waist level.
- Must be able to work in-office up to 60% of the time.
- Ability to travel up to 5-10% of the time.
Salary & Benefits:
This is a full-time position offering a salary of $100k - $115k plus benefits as seen below:
