What You'll Do
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and administering all human resource functions for the company, including onboarding, training, performance management, compliance with labor laws and regulations, as well as company policies, employee relations, planning and educating employees on company benefits, compensation, policy creation, conflict resolution, project management, and HRIS.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for communications and education on the company’s benefits
- Develops, recommends and implements employee policies and procedures
- Ensures that employee recordkeeping is in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Oversees the recruitment process to ensure that all open positions are filled with the highest qualified candidate and that each hiring process is in compliance with all applicable federal and state laws
- Responsible for the development and implementation of the new hire orientation
- Provides expertise to management to assist with employee relations issues to ensure compliance with company policy and employment law
- Drives professional development for employees through the recommendation of appropriate courses to managers and managing the budget for development
- Manages compensation program by providing input to management regarding wages and benefits
- Recommends and implements new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of the HR department
What You'll Bring
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 7-10 years in the human resources field
- 5 years managing or leading others in a corporate environment
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Society for Human Resource Management-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Ability to effectively respond to and interact with all levels of employees from executive management to field personnel
- Knowledgeable of all major functional areas of Human Resources including HRIS, employment law, compensation, benefits, performance management, employee relations, employee development, talent management, employee engagement
