Based on our Portland campus, this leadership position oversees recruitment strategies for undergraduate, transfer, accelerated, graduate, and professional nursing programs while partnering closely with academic and administrative leaders to achieve ambitious enrollment goals.

Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Admission, School of Nursing develops and implements strategic recruitment initiatives that support enrollment across all School of Nursing programs, including:
Undergraduate Transfer
Prelicensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN)
Master's Entry into Professional Nursing (MEPN)
Graduate Nursing Programs
Working closely with the Director of Admission and the Associate Director of Admission/Operations, this position helps strengthen enrollment systems, improve operational processes, and enhance recruitment effectiveness. The Assistant Director also provides leadership to nursing admission staff and collaborates extensively with School of Nursing leadership, Marketing, Enrollment Operations, Financial Aid, Academic Advising, and the Registrar to support strategic enrollment growth.
This position is based on Linfield University's Portland campus with occasional work on the McMinnville campus and requires periodic travel, evening, and weekend commitments.
What You'll Do
Strategic Recruitment & Enrollment Leadership
Develop and execute comprehensive annual recruitment and enrollment plans that support enrollment goals across all School of Nursing programs.
Manage prospective student recruitment from inquiry through enrollment.
Participate in recruitment activities including presentations, college fairs, virtual events, individual counseling, application review, and enrollment events.
Monitor enrollment pipelines and collaborate with campus partners to meet enrollment and cohort objectives.
Represent Linfield at transfer fairs, employer events, conferences, and community outreach opportunities.
Marketing & Communications
Partner with Admission and Marketing leadership to develop integrated recruitment marketing strategies.
Oversee communication plans utilizing Slate CRM, automated workflows, email campaigns, text messaging, and digital recruitment tools.
Coordinate print and digital recruitment materials to ensure timely, consistent, and data-informed communications.
Leadership & Collaboration
Supervise admission staff supporting nursing recruitment and admission.
Build strong collaborative relationships with School of Nursing leadership, faculty, Enrollment Management, Marketing, Financial Aid, Academic Advising, the Registrar, and other university partners.
Support application processing and compliance requirements using Slate CRM and NursingCAS.
Data, Budget & Strategic Planning
Manage recruitment and marketing budgets for nursing programs.
Analyze enrollment data, recruitment outcomes, and market trends to inform strategic planning and continuous improvement.
Develop and maintain partnerships with community colleges, healthcare organizations, employers, and professional organizations that strengthen enrollment pipelines.
Participate in professional development and implement best practices that improve recruitment effectiveness.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and five years of progressively responsible experience in admissions, enrollment management, student recruitment, marketing, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
