The Global Clinical Pharmacy Specialist assesses pertinent clinical and laboratory information regarding patient’s status by making appropriate recommendations for drug therapy management. This role also engages with relevant clinical teams to support clinical services lines by addressing relevant patient needs.
*It is preferred this role be in office, with the possibility of a hybrid option.
Overview:
The Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) is a growing department looking for dynamic professionals who are eager to help implement the St. Jude Global (SJG) mission of training the clinical workforce, developing and strengthening health systems and patient-centered initiatives, and advancing knowledge to sustain continuous improvement through research.
The Global Clinical Pharmacy Specialist is responsible for:
Assist in development and implementation of global pharmacy educational curriculum.
Assist in development and implementation of pharmacy PrOFILE sibling tool to assess pharmacy services worldwide.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on diverse catalog of capacity-strengthening projects.
Lead educational and capacity-strengthening initiatives related to pharmacy operations with members of global community.
Participate in implementation of relevant performance improvement activities.
Support the development and implementation of relevant policies and treatment guidelines.
Execute assigned tasks related to investigational studies, clinical research, and statistical principles.
Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Minimum Education:
Pharm.D. accredited by the American Council of Pharmacy Education.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Certification by the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties in a relevant area (e.g., Compounded Sterile Preparations, Oncology, Pediatrics) required within 12 months of hire.
Minimum Experience:
Pharm.D. accredited by the American Council of Pharmacy Education with PGY2 residency or 4+ years of pharmacy practice experience at St. Jude or comparable institution.
Sterile preparation and drug distribution experience preferred.
Pediatric and/or oncology experience preferred.
Proven experience in earlier role/comparable role.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required by Law:
(LC: PHARM-TN) Licensure by the Tennessee State Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.

Demonstrate a strong grasp of practical knowledge around drug interactions, influence of disease states on drug dispositions, and therapeutic contraindications.
