The Role
The Senior Lead Contract Analyst role is to evaluate requests from customers for custom or non-standard contracts and negotiate with customers on non-standard contracting custom opportunities. The position requires experience and knowledge of contract negotiations, contract language creation, project management, custom offer construction, sales processes, along with team leadership and coaching. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, a skilled negotiator, excellent communicator, a strong project leader, has extensive experience working with large financial customers and cloud-tech customers, and has the desire to work in a fast-paced environment in support of the sales effort.
The Main Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
• Drive sales opportunities to final contract execution for strategic accounts, financial accounts and cloud-tech accounts that result in revenue growth for Lumen.
• Ensure consistent application of terms and conditions in custom contracts and related documents.
• Minimize Lumen’s operational and financial risk exposure in custom contracts.
• Build working relationship and trust with Sales Management, Product Management, Legal and other key stakeholders.
• Become a knowledge source on process and alternative solutions for solving problems.
Essential Duties:
• In this role, complete workload in a timely manner consistent with company policies and ensure appropriate issues are being escalated to senior leadership as necessary.
• Work to improve the process and recommend changes to company policies as marketplace conditions evolve.
• Negotiate contract terms & conditions with customers.
• Develop creative solutions to contract issues.
• Develop contract language under pressure for fast turnaround.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of management.
• Vet custom operational and business commitments with internal stakeholder organizations.
• Maintain control and progress of contract negotiations, conference calls and documents.
What We Look For in a Candidate
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience. Master’s degree or Law degree a plus.
• Minimal ten years’ experience in large, complex customer negotiations, business development, and contract drafting or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal, written, project management and presentation skills.
• Ability to summarize key contract issues to management.
• A team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Computer skills: strong skills on Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with sales personnel and customers in person and/or on conference calls.
• Knowledge of the competitive telecommunications and IT outsourcing industry.
Compensation
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.Location Based Pay Ranges
$103,711.00 - $138,281.00 in these states: GA KS KY OH PA TN WI
$108,896.00 - $145,195.00 in these states: CO MI MN NC
$114,082.00 - $152,109.00 in these states: NY TX VA
