You will spend 16 months learning and developing yourself alongside other graduates and exploring 3 different work rotations, one of them being abroad. Trainee - Investment Analyst Hydrogen, Business Area: New Energy Solutions
The Commercial, Portfolio, and Regulatory unit in the hydrogen organization is a growing team of ~10 employees. We ensure that Statkraft can assess and select the right hydrogen projects, find the right partners, and acquisition opportunities to achieve our hydrogen ambitions, deliver optimal solutions for our hydrogen customers, and have the knowledge of the hydrogen market and regulations to make the right decisions and influence our environment. We work in close cooperation with the asset owners and will in many cases work as an integrated part of the hydrogen project development teams.
We will work closely together with all parts of Statkraft involved in hydrogen development. Statkraft has its main hydrogen activities in the European markets such as Nordics, UK, Germany, and the Netherlands, but we will also provide support and sparring for new markets for Statkraft hydrogen activities such as the international markets India, Brazil, and Chile.
Responsibilities:
- The core responsibility of the role is to develop and maintain the business case and valuations for Statkraft’s hydrogen projects. This will involve the following:
- Develop and maintain the business case and valuation model for hydrogen projects and drive the financial optimization of projects – as an integrated part of the hydrogen project development teams
- Contribute to developing and maintaining an overview of valuation input parameters
- Ensure up-to-date and aligned input parameters are applied in the valuation models for hydrogen projects
- Own or contribute to the development of the hydrogen valuation model and methodology in Statkraft
- Participate in investment and transaction support for acquisitions, partnerships, and sell-downs of hydrogen projects. This will include conducting the valuation of the project, supporting negotiations, and leading or supporting the development of the initial target assessment
- Support in developing bids for public support schemes (e.g. CfD systems)
- Leverage Statkraft expertise and insight to analyze and optimize revenue and power costs of Statkraft’s hydrogen projects
- Contribute to the development of hydrogen purchase agreements (HPA)
- Advise on commercial aspects of the hydrogen portfolio across Statkraft's markets with hydrogen activities
Trainee - Business Development Hydrogen, Business Area: New Energy Solutions
As a trainee in the Nordic hydrogen department, you will work closely with one of the business developers and their project team and get the opportunity to learn all key aspects of project development.
Responsibilities:
- Support the team to develop a portfolio of hydrogen-related projects in the Nordics from early-phase ideas through to construction and operation
- Analyze the market and regulatory conditions to assess the potential for hydrogen-related projects
- Collaborate with technical, commercial, and project management teams to ensure that the projects progress in Stat kraft's project development governance system
