Our Diagnostics / Core Lab business currently has a full-time, on-site opportunity for a Sr. Systems Integration Specialist. This Sr. Systems Integration Specialist will be based at our Abbott Park, IL office. The Sr. Systems Integration Specialist applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to ensure and verify design of the subsystem integrate and function optimally as a system, to provide system solutions, improvements, and enhancements to achieve overall systems performance. Resolves product problems and technical issues with minimal oversight across multiple system functions.
Responsibilities
- Maintains adherence to Quality System - Implements and maintains the effectiveness of the quality system.
- Defines and documents critical performance requirements that link to system design across interacting functions (i.e., hardware, software, labeling and / or assay).
- Collaborates with technical organization to develop and refine system solutions through the concept, feasibility, development, and qualification phases of the development process.
- Leads systems related analysis to assess performance against design specification, and assessment of system interactions. Leads technical review of complex system related system integration, verification, and characterization studies.
- Leads development of systems integration test methods / processes and troubleshooting instrument (hardware/software/and assay/reagent interaction issues to determine root cause and possible solutions. Resolves complex system-level problems.
- Writes and executes complex system related verification and characterization protocols and packages.
- Applies moderately complex quantitative methods, analyzes data, evaluates results, forms conclusions, and provides and implements improvements.
- Mentors junior-level team members and supports system integration knowledge sharing activities to alignment with strategic business needs.
- Supports technical team in evaluating Key Performance Parameters (KPPs) / Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Leads team members in application and analysis of multiple optimization process techniques: Set targets, ranges, and specs – DOE, Guard band, Capability (CPk), Test Method development, troubleshoot parts and subsystems. Reviews and / or develop FMEA, hazards, modes of control for risk management. Leads complex investigations involving interacting system level issues.
Education and Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree required. Preferably in Life or Physical Science, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, or closely related discipline.
- Minimum 6 years’ work-related experience.
