Job Summary:

Join the Colorado School of Public Health as the IVPC Program Manager (Research Services Program Manager). The Injury and Violence Prevention Center (IVPC) is dedicated to reducing injury and violence through rigorous research, workforce training, and translating evidence into effective policies and practices.

 

The IVPC Program Manager will play a central role in advancing the mission of the center by supporting its growth and development. Responsibilities will include supporting research management and development, fostering strategic partnerships, coordinating outreach efforts with local, state, and national partners, developing and administering workforce trainings, and supporting translation of evidence and data into practice settings. This role blends project management, relationship building, and operational support to strengthen IVPC’s capacity to translate injury and violence prevention research into real-world impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of infrastructure to support injury prevention research, with a focus on building new initiatives (e.g., promote funding opportunities, identify tools to support grant development, connect researchers and supporting partnerships, etc.).

  • Support the identification, development, and promotion of dissemination of research within the IVPC (e.g., toolkits, implementation guides, visual abstracts, data briefs).

  • Field and collaborate on requests from national, state, and local partners for technical assistance and training on evidence-based injury prevention practice.

  • Work with IVPC leadership to create and implement a strategic outreach plan.

  • Foster productive and collaborative relationships and external partnerships including public health agencies and community-based organizations locally, at the state level, mountain west region, and nationally.

  • Oversee planning and implementation of various on-campus and off-campus events with partners and collaborators (e.g., webinars, annual convenings, and community events), which includes managing scheduling, marketing, correspondence with partners, logistics, and in-person facilitation and support.

  • Represent the IVPC at various events, such as exhibiting at community events and conferences.

  • Develop and maintain programmatic tracking databases; monitor progress and effectiveness of programmatic efforts.

  • Support leadership with research and programmatic fund development activities, including developing pitches, presentations, or grant applications.

This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position that reports to the IVPC Director.
