About the role

Description

The NYU Grossman School of Medicine Department of Pathology is inviting applications for a clinical pathologist at the assistant or associate level to serve as the Medical Director for Hematology and Coagulation, Special Hematology and Coagulation, and SPEP/IFE Laboratories. The successful candidate will join a team of 7 Clinical Pathologists with diverse subspecialties. The Tisch Hospital clinical laboratory performs approximately 8 million clinical laboratory tests annually and is currently undergoing a renovation plan that will make it a state-of-the-art laboratory with automation and current technologies.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must be board certified in Clinical Pathology with experience in directing a Clinical Pathology service. The candidate must be licensed to practice medicine in New York State and be qualified for a New York Certificate of Qualification (COQ) in Clinical Pathology disciplines.  In addition to clinical service, this position requires teaching pathology residents, students, and clinical fellows. Collaborative research opportunities are abundant.

Salary range: $260,000 - $350,000 (The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include incentive

compensation or benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed salary range; consideration will be made for

experience, training, hospital/community need and other factors).
