We’re seeking a Senior Analytics Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, and scalability of our analytics data infrastructure. As part of a strategic investment in modernizing our business intelligence platform, you’ll play a foundational role in transitioning Ellevation to Snowflake and Tableau while enabling governed self-service analytics for teams across the company.
You’ll serve as the technical counterpart to platform engineering and BI leadership, ensuring our dbt modeling layer, Snowflake data marts, and executive reporting schemas are performant, reliable, and intuitive for the teams that depend on them. You’ll also help define data contracts and metric governance in coordination with the Data Council and department leads.

About You:
- 6-8 years of experience in analytics engineering, data modeling, or data infrastructure roles, ideally in a modern cloud-based data stack.
- Deep expertise in dbt, SQL, Snowflake, and dimensional data modeling for business intelligence.
- Strong understanding of reporting requirements for cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Success, Product) and how to structure data to support them.
- Familiarity with data integration tools like Fivetran.
- Experience partnering with stakeholders to scope analytics needs and build for reusability and scale.
- Passion for operationalizing insights in a mission-driven environment and ensuring that data is a strategic asset, not a bottleneck.
Your Impact Timeline:
- Within 30 Days
- Get up to speed on Ellevation’s data stack, dbt structure, and key reporting pipelines
- Partner with the platform and BI teams to understand current ingestion and transformation workflows
- Begin supporting efforts to stabilize and document priority data marts
- Within 60 Days
- Collaborate with department leads and the BI Director to scope and prioritize key executive KPIs
- Contribute to data contracts that ensure alignment from data entry to reporting
- Begin developing Tableau reporting schemas and modeling standards
- Within 90 Days
- Lead the development of core reporting tables and support Tableau executive dashboard builds
- Stand up versioned, documented dbt models with testing and validation
- Provide feedback and contribute to hiring additional data team resources
- Within 6–12 Months
- Own Snowflake performance optimization and long-term analytics modeling roadmap
- Support broader Tableau adoption by ensuring scalable, governed reporting sources
- Serve as a key technical contributor and mentor within the growing BI & analytics function
Responsibilities
- Support the ingestion and transformation of operational data from systems like Salesforce, Gainsight, and others into Snowflake, ensuring well-structured, accurate, and documented models that support business-critical reporting.
- Design, build, and maintain a governed semantic reporting layer in dbt to serve as the foundation for BI dashboards and cross-functional analytics.
- Own and steward the architecture and reliability of reporting-ready datasets, enforcing analytics engineering best practices such as modular, tested dbt models and scalable logic.
- Partner closely with Product Engineering, who will own product data ingestion and domain-specific marts, to align on shared standards and ensure system interoperability.
- Work with the Director of BI and business stakeholders to assess feasibility, source systems, and definitions for key metrics, supporting their lifecycle from creation to insight delivery.
- Support performance tuning and optimization of the Snowflake reporting layer to deliver fast, responsive experiences for end-users in Tableau.
- Contribute to data governance strategy and Data Council initiatives, defining contracts, ownership, and quality standards for operational data domains.
