The Role-
This full-time position runs from January 2025 through the end of April. The selected Social Worker will support an early childhood center, working with both Special Education and General Education classrooms. You'll have a great opportunity for collaboration, as another full-time Social Worker also serves this building!

- Start interviewing with our school partners to dive into the caseload, school culture, and specifics for each role.

Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students to address personal, social, and academic issues.
- Develop and implement intervention strategies to improve student behavior and academic performance.
- Conduct social-emotional assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Respond to and manage crisis situations involving students, including mental health emergencies and family crises.
- Provide support and resources to students and families in times of crisis.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to develop and implement strategies to support student success.
- Consult with parents, guardians, and external agencies to coordinate services and resources for students.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input on social-emotional goals and supports.
- Develop and implement programs and initiatives to promote a positive school climate and address issues such as bullying, attendance, and mental health.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for students, parents, and staff on topics related to social-emotional learning and well-being.
- Advocate for students' needs and rights within the school and the broader community.
- Connect students and families with community resources and services, including mental health providers, social services, and other support agencies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions, assessments, and interventions.
