Business Unit: Global Fund Finance – Real Estate

Position Title: Associate

Position Description: This position will be involved in investment operations, financial reporting, and fund accounting for Blackstone Real Estate Partners funds (“BREP”) and its underlying investments.                                              

Specific Responsibilities:

• Liaise with Tax and the Fund Accounting team on deal transaction accounting; oversee quarterly production of SPV financial statements
• Support fund level operating activities including credit facility maintenance and preparation of quarterly compliance certificates
• Work with Legal and Compliance team to ensure compliance with various fund policies and procedures including LPA limitations, side-letter agreements, deal certificates, and line of credit covenants
• Prepare Fund and Investment specific SEC filings
• Plan, prepare and manage LP distribution process including coordination with deal teams and preparation of LP memos
• Prepare internal reporting for Real Estate COO & CFO on fund metrics, dry powder, and liquidity schedules; provide analysis and recommended actions
• Oversee entity and expense management
• Responsible for the oversight of prompt responses to internal requests, investor requests and ad hoc projects by the team
• Oversee BREP’s public investment operations including FMV calculations, custody management, and proxy voting
• Manage, train and develop staff both in the U.S. and India to assist with accounting and operational work

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of public accounting, private equity fund accounting, or private equity fund operations experience
• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
• CPA or graduate degree preferred
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong analytical skills, detail oriented and highly organized
• Possesses a strong work ethic, personal and professional integrity, and a positive attitude
• Strong oral and written communication and influencing skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle multiple projects

Expected annual base salary range:

$105,000 - $140,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
