Job Description
The Small Business and Entrepreneurship Development (SBED) division at the North Las Vegas campus is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Student Intern to support entrepreneurship initiatives, small business engagement, and student career-readiness programming. This position provides hands-on experience in project coordination, event logistics, customer service, and community outreach. The intern will collaborate with SBED staff and campus partners to assist with workshops, student support services, and program implementation.
Duties include:
Assist with coordination and logistics for SBED workshops, events, and entrepreneurship programs
Support preparation of marketing materials, social media content, and event flyers
Help maintain databases, sign-in sheets, and program tracking systems
Assist with student engagement initiatives such as the Side Hustle Expo and related activities
Conduct light research on small business resources, funding opportunities, and community partnerships
Provide general administrative support to SBED leadership and program staff
Represent SBED in a professional manner on campus and community events
Required Qualifications
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Professional demeanor and strong customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce
Proficiency in basic web management and social media platforms
Weekly Schedule
Flexible schedule between Monday–Friday based on class schedule
Salary Information
$15.50 per hour, Up to 17 hours per week
This position is contingent upon grant funding
