The Opportunity
This role is on a hybrid schedule , in office a few times each week in our New York City office.
The qualified candidate will support the Market & Liquidity Risk team, a second-line risk team, with daily market risk reporting, senior/Board level risk committee communication and reporting, policy compliance monitoring, Enterprise Risk strategic initiatives, and other governance efforts as required. Much of the focus will be analyzing investment securities comprised of equities, equity options, treasury bonds, agency residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS), non-agency RMBS, agency commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS), and corporate & municipal bonds. Broader responsibilities will include analysis of Ally’s private equity portfolio and opportunity to work with other groups within the broader team including the liquidity, interest rate and counterparty risk teams.
The Work Itself
- Prepare, analyze and distribute daily risk reporting packages
- Work with IT to improve daily processes through automation
- Provide analysis and create materials for committee meetings and reporting
- Stay abreast of Capital Market developments through published research and other sources
- Learn investment and hedging products/strategies and understand how they fit into Ally’s balance sheet
- Lead and assist with projects typically aimed at improving oversight activities
- Support the broader Market and Liquidity Risk team as needed
