The anticipated salary range for this role is between $166,000.00 and $195,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. JOB SUMMARY:

As part of the Loan Participation Group, the Portfolio Management Team Leader will play a crucial role in the execution of participations in broadly syndicated credit facilities (principally Term Loan B’s) for new and existing customers in a broad range of industries within the general C&I space. The Team Leader will manage a team of Underwriters/Portfolio Managers and is expected to review, consult, and provide guidance on loan opportunities. Additionally, the Team Leader will provide ongoing monitoring and oversight of the aggregate portfolio performance metrics and generate reports for presentation and discussion with management. 
Position requires an advanced working knowledge of the technical/analytical aspects of commercial/corporate loan underwriting including the evaluation of (i) cash flow, income statement and balance sheet financial analysis, collateral quality, enterprise valuation, (ii) financial analysis of and management capacity of corporate guarantors and/or sponsors, (iii) market/industry trends & risk, and (iv) extensive knowledge of loan participations/syndications. Prior experience in cash flow lending (including leveraged lending), acquisition financing, EV-reliant, etc., strongly preferred. Works closely with Division Head and Relationship Managers in developing, recommending, implementing, and monitoring the loan portfolio, and manage risk consistent with the Bank’s underwriting standards. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

•    Overall responsibility for the oversight and management of the Loan Portfolio Group loan portfolio, as well as the management of the Portfolio Managers and Credit Officers on the team. 
•    Prepare reports on periodic (monthly/quarterly) basis to monitor potential risk migration or identify negative trends within the portfolio.
•    Preparation or review of prescreen reports / memos of prospective borrowers in coordination with the Relationship Managers.
•    Review Credit Approval Reports for submission to Credit Administration, including loan summary, credit analysis of applicant including projections/modeling, and applicable backup data. Review should add value as applicable, and ensure underwriting is complete and consistent with credit policies, procedures, and methodologies.
•    Coordinated with the Portfolio Manager, respond to questions from Credit Administration and participate in deal presentation on loan approval committee meetings when required.
•    Prepare other written reports such as problem loan reports and audit responses as required as part of the loan portfolio management.
•    Oversee the loan closing process, including review of legal documentation and preparation of boarding packages with Portfolio Managers. Prior use of Markit Clearpar loan settlement system would be beneficial.
•    Knowledge of loan operations for ongoing monitoring and assistance with managing Administrative Agent relationships.
•    Develops and maintains good relationships with Division Head, Relationship Managers, Credit Analysts & Agent Banks.
•    Maintains current knowledge of the Bank’s loan policies and Risk Rating System.
