In Touch/Life & Style Associate Social Media Editor

<p>About the position<br/> The Associate Social Media Editor for InTouch and Life&amp;Style is a part-time remote position focused on managing and creating engaging content for various social media platforms. This role is essential for driving traffic to the InTouch and Life&amp;Style websites and enhancing audience engagement through strategic content programming and community management.</p> <p>Responsibilities<br/> ? Support the daily output of InTouch and Life&amp;Style content to Facebook, Instagram and X to drive traffic back to the sites.<br/> ? Work with Social Media Director to engage and grow audiences across various social platforms.<br/> ? Work with the editorial team to prioritize content and strategize best distribution for content.<br/> ? Create original content and source UGC content to drive engagement &amp; conversation.<br/> ? Assist with community management to drive authentic interactions, maintain brand image and tone across all social platforms.<br/> ? Identify trending and viral news to support driving sessions through social platforms.<br/> ? Leverage insights to create clever angles and shareable headlines.<br/> ? Support content distribution strategies through promotion tactics including repromotion and recycling top posts across platforms.<br/> ? Implement new social media tactics and tests.<br/> ? Assist with major initiatives as well as day-to-day news operations, video, social takeovers and more.</p> <p>Requirements<br/> ? Bachelor's Degree<br/> ? 2+ years of experience in media and/or publishing.<br/> ? Excellent writing skills with a strong command of AP style.<br/> ? Demonstrable experience identifying shareable and viral content for a sizeable social media account.<br/> ? Strong knowledge of social media platforms and trends.<br/> ? Basic understanding of the native tools and insights.<br/> ? Experience with social publishing software such as True Anthem, Social Flow, or Dash Hudson.<br/> ? Comfortable with Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office.<br/> Nice-to-haves<br/> ? Effective communication and experience working across multiple departments.<br/> ? Excellent organization and time management skills.<br/> ? A blend of collaborative skills as well as being an independent self-starter.<br/> ? Flexible and has the ability to shift gears quickly between multiple campaigns and projects.<br/> ?
