Full-Time: Monday-Thursday 5pm-8:30am, Friday 5pm-Monday 8:30am
Coverage Area: Greater Indianapolis

Position Summary:
The After Hours Registered Nurse (RN) provides essential nursing care for terminally ill Hospice patients during evening, overnight and weekend shifts. Responsibilities include supporting patients and their families in home care settings, offering guidance and empathy during difficult times, and providing quality care to our patients within their home.
Required Experience for After Hours Registered Nurse:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Currently licensed as a registered nurse to practice in the state of Indiana.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a hospice registered nurse.
- Active patient contact within past three years, preferred.
- Ability to work independently, make accurate, and at times, quick judgments.
- Ability to supervise others appropriately.
- Ability to respond appropriately to crisis outside of a hospital setting.
- Acceptance of and adaptability to different social, racial, cultural and religious modes.
Accountability for After Hours Registered Nurse:
- Regularly assesses and reassesses the nursing needs of the Hospice patients in the patient’s home as needed.
- Provides dietary counseling.
- Provides Hospice nursing
