Job Overview

This position is responsible for assisting in maintaining scheduling of all field/shop work, communicating and advising customers (both external and internal) of all aspects of repairs and preparing appropriate paperwork, i.e., work orders, warranty, service department estimates/quotes, service department purchase orders for accounts payable, weekly payroll reports.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative assistance to the service department by receiving and coordinating customer & internal requests for service information and scheduling work, daily tracking of technician’s time in CDK. 
  • Provide coordination & technical support for manufacture warranty claim filing, policy warranty requests, and submit claims to the warranty department.  
  • Communicates with customers on work status and billing information, approves & processes outside purchases to work orders, opens work orders, and edits & closes work orders (invoice work orders). 
  • Monitors, maintains, purchases & provides inventory control for shop supply inventory and maintains service truck fleet operating expense & operation reports. 
  • Monitors & maintain branch Safety programs; Meets OSHA and EPA compliance 

 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associate Degree or equivalent preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Must be able to apply the seven principles of the KOMATSU Way to their everyday work activities where applicable. 

  • Strong organizational, communications and customer relations skills; A solid understanding of pricing principles and discounting effects & attention to detail in all areas of responsibility 

  • Good working knowledge of computer & systems in place; basic equipment operations and mechanical functions;
