Senior Financial Analyst

The Opportunity:

DataGrail is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to help strengthen our financial and analytical capabilities. As the first finance hire, you will apply everything you’ve learned in your career to help shape FP&A at DataGrail creating best practices from day one.

As a leader in a high growth company that has an incredible product, customer base and team, you’ll have extensive visibility into and direct participation in many key business decisions as a trusted partner to the leadership team

The Skill Set:

• • Successful history in FP&A and Operations
  • Intimate knowledge of financial KPIs and metrics
  • Comfortable acting as a true business partner and go-to person for all analytical support, thinking and going beyond budget variances and expense management to help the business achieve operational goals and strategy
  • Able to:
    • Perform ad-hoc business case and scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives
    • Manage variable compensation programs, going beyond administration and providing recommendations to senior leadership on how to improve outcomes
    • Support the accounting team in the month end close process
    • Assist with billing, revenue reconciliation and other financial matters as needed 
    • Create a detailed operating plan, long-term corporate financial model and track ongoing changes to the business in the rolling forecast
    • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting - analyzing financial results, understanding key trends, assessing current and future business risk and communicating/presenting key messages to senior leadership
  • Comfortable in high growth environments working on a fast-paced team with changing priorities

Within 90 Days You'll:

• Overhauled the current financial model to ensure repeatability and improved accuracy in our forecasting
• Begun implementation of an FP&A and analytics solution 
• Completed a quarter close and reporting cycle, having adding meaningful improvements to the depth and quality of information included
• Built relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Assumed responsibility for variable compensation programs 

 

Within 180 Days You'll:

• Be operating in a new FP&A and analytics solution providing “real time” forecast updates 
• Run a tight close and forecast cycle
• Provide proactive insights to the business to help guide decision making on key strategic initiatives 
• Overhauled our financial reporting and board package
• Become a trusted advisor and financial partner to the leadership team

Within 365 Days You'll:

• Be a respected business partner and thought leader to the senior leadership and operations teams
• Contribute meaningfully to the preparation of the FY ‘25 budget and 3 year rolling forecast
• Developed a longer term growth strategy for the FP&A and financial operations team that fit the  financial needs of the business
