Here’s what you will do:

  • Assists in planning work and contributing budget related information as required, consistent with the annual budgeting process.

  • Works with Area and Region personnel in making recommendations as to levels of spare parts for equipment needed to perform normal maintenance and minimize down time.

  • Must demonstrate a detailed understanding of Enbridge Safety Policies and Procedures and act in accordance with them at all times.

  • Responds to equipment malfunction, physical damage and/or fire, vandalism and/or threats to properly handle emergency situations to safeguard life and property.  Must be familiar with the application of relevant procedures.

  • Implements all lock out/tag out procedures as they apply to the job functions to ensure personnel safety.

  • Completes reports accurately and completely and has a working knowledge of applicable local filing systems as required.

  • Obtains training as required to maintain qualifications.

  • Utilizes proper procedures for ordering, receiving and transferring materials as well as performing physical inventory.

  • Work with significant independence. Reviews and interprets drawings, sketches and as-builts.

  • Consistently works in a safe, responsible manner and actively participates in safely related programs.

  • Provide basic mentorship to Field Operations I employees or contractors, and engages as a work group team member while encouraging a collaborative work relationship with fellow employees.

  • Consistently projects a professional Company image when interacting with non-Company personnel.

  • Performs work in compliance with Company policies/procedures as well as external regulatory bodies, such as Pipeline Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) through adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Manuals.

  • Operates all Station prime movers and compressors, including start, stop, load adjustment, alarm monitoring and initial response as required.

  • Monitors unit functions during normal operations and performs periodic checks of all operating variables.

  • Sets up station in various operating modes based on system demands.

  • Monitors, operates and performs routine inspections on station air systems, fuel systems, cooling water systems, oil systems, and safety systems.

  • Monitors operational pressures and alarm set points, and operation of station filter systems and liquids storage systems

  • Operates station auxiliary operational equipment and all station valves.

  • Performs all duties as assigned and recognizes and reacts to abnormal conditions associated with duties.

Who you are:

You have the following education and/or experience:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.

  • One to two years of directly relevant training and experience.

  • A valid Driver’s License.

  • Must be able and willing to work overtime, weekends, shift, be on call and standby, and travel overnight as required.

  • Can perform tasks requiring heavy physical exertion in sometimes extreme weather conditions.

  • Currently resides or is willing to relocate within 30 miles of the assigned reporting location.

Desired Qualifications

  • Possesses the desire to learn and advance as a Field Technician and Station operations.

  • Working knowledge of operations used in maintenance and repair of pipelines and operational equipment.

  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Excel and Word.

  • Strong technical and analytical skills demonstrated through training, formal education, and/or experience.

  • Able to work independently with little to no direction.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Able to work and contribute to a team environment where inclusiveness,
