As the Senior Clinical Laboratory Science Specialist, you will provide leadership and technical expertise for the Ronald Reagan Clinical Laboratory within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.  Primary duties include providing leadership, support, and expertise on Hematology and Coagulation, including coordination of quality control and proficiency activities, performing training and competency on testing personnel, validation of new analyzers and tests, and writing policies and procedures. 

Salary Range: $60.71/hour - $78.17/hour

 

Job Qualifications

• California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license.• Bachelor’s degree.• 4 years of licensed CLS experience.• Experience in Hematology & Coagulation.• Proven experience in training and lecturing.• Experience writing procedures and reports.• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.• Demonstrated experience in validation, testing, and troubleshooting.• Must pass the Ishihara Color Vision exam, i.e. visual acuity including color differentiation.
