Job Description

The role of the Catastrophe Claim Manager is to assist in the development of CAT response strategy in support of the achievement of ACG’s short and long term Mission, Vision and Strategic objectives. The role is accountable for supporting Claim strategies and programs to achieve maximum results and efficiencies through the analysis of reports, quality assurance work.

Responsibilities: 

  • Take part in ongoing strategic improvements to best position the claim organization in responding to customers during Catastrophic events. 

  • Identify industry trends to best support the Organizations CAT response across multiple lines of business 

  • Responsible for preparing executive reporting and analysis that is consistent with defined standards and processes. 

  • Proficiency in change management  

  • Provide support, guidance, leadership and motivation to promote maximum performance in Catastrophic property claims situations 

  • Manage external and/or contract staff in service of our customers 

  • Provide an environment to foster best in class customer service 

  • Responsible for implementing best practices based on company goals. 

  • Determine and delegate claims settlement authority to claims representatives. 

  • Provide technical guidance to staff on claim investigation, reserving
