Position Summary

  • Responsible for performing support functions essential to the successful recruitment and retention of physicians and advanced practice providers.

Education

  • Associate’s degree Required

Licenses and Certification

  • Valid Drivers License
  • Clean Motor Vehicle report with annual SIH vehicle and driver safety training

Experience and Skills

  • Clerical experience
  • Healthcare experience/knowledge
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office applications)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as a team, with flexibility in work habits
  • Exceptional customer service skills

Physical Activities

  • Intermittent hand manipulation required
  • Intermittent lifting and carrying of 50 lbs.

Role Specific Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule all activities related to candidate and recruiter travel, site visit meetings, conferences, career fairs, meet and greets, outreach, and appointments
  • Conduct national and international background checks on all physician candidates and prepare written reports for distribution
  • Collect and compile references for all physician & APP candidates and prepare written reports for distribution
  • Assist in the design of and coordinate the development for promotional materials
  • Assist recruiters with the development of site visit agendas
  • Manage all logistical aspects of site visits
  • Participate in the on-site visit, as needed
  • Send out post-site visit surveys, compile monthly and report out
  • Work with recruiters to develop practice profile opportunities
  • Develop and maintain status list of all candidates and active searches through ATS
  • Participate in other duties and responsibilities as assigned in order to recruit and retain physicians and APPs
  • Maintain log of expenses for the department as well as dollars spent per physician provider
  • Maintain departmental equipment and supplies
  • Coordinate and assist with residency outreach functions
  • Coordinate and assist with annual monthly and ad hoc physician retention events
  • Communicate with physician candidates throughout all aspects of the recruitment process
  • Prepare candidate welcome bags and maintain inventory
  • Manage inventory and ordering of give-away items
  • Prepare and pack for physician career fairs
  • Process all expenses in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations
  • Assist with physician relocation, as needed
  • Prepare monthly recruitment reports for department and senior management and BOT
  • Coordinate and schedule all activities related to the department manager
  • Run physician background and reference check and send out related reports
  • Send out special occasion cards to medical staff
  • Create and send out department newsletter
  • Manage physician referral program, including tracking referrals received and submitting payroll corrections
  • Monitor recruitment email inbox
  • Coordinate SIU Family Medicine and student related events
  • Track and schedule services for the department vehicle
  • Manage medical student and APP student lists and coordinate activities related to the medical student scholarship program
  • Meeting set up and follow up, including sending invites, Teams connection, reports, agenda, minutes, etc.

Compensation (Commensurate with experience):

$19.79 - $29.69
