About the role

The Learning & Program Specialist will lead training and training content development. The specialist will create and execute learning strategies and programs which drive business objectives. The Learning & Program Specialist fosters employee engagement and growth through training, content development, and support.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Train, develop, and facilitate training programs including, but not limited to orientation, leadership behaviors, department standard training, compliance training, Leadership Development courses, etc.
  • Help create, plan, and run training programs.
  • In collaboration with the Chief People Officer or HR Director assess training and development needs through surveys, focus groups, and communication with leadership.
  • Organize training sessions specific to various roles in the company.
  • Prepare all instructional materials.
  • Ensure that new staff members receive appropriate introductory training.
  • Administer training programs ensuring full compliance.
  • Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by manager.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must have a passion for training and developing employees through learning advancement.
  • The technical aptitude or experience to work with an LMS, online development tools, and key Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, SharePoint and PowerPoint.
  • Must be a quick learner.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to assume responsibilities to drive programs to meet deadlines.
  • Must demonstrate and provide excellent customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to encourage participation and motivate learners.
  • Ability to develop and mentor others.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Planning skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong project management and organization skills with the ability to multitask and oversee multiple projects.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with all members across the organization.
