As Warehouse Team Lead of the Huntsville warehouse team, you will be involved in providing leadership in the Materials department. This individual will be responsible for pulling/kitting materials from stockroom locations per planned work orders, issuing production or rework work orders as needed, staging shipments of materials in and out of the facility with our outplant suppliers, inspecting, and receiving inbound inventory from vendors and maintaining overall inventory accuracy. This position reports to the Production and Warehouse Supervisor.
General Responsibilities
- Position will maintain inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, delivering, and returning items, securing warehouse, and providing leadership to the team
- General responsibilities include coordination of all inventory receipts, issuance of materials to the production floor, communication of shortages, processing of returns, restocking as required and staging of shipment to outplant vendors
- Ability to audit, investigate and record inventory discrepancies
- Perform and monitor daily cycle counts and perform an analysis with a corrective action on all significant discrepancies
- Ability to complete, monitor and review warehouse logs
- Ability to lead or participate in Continuous Improvement projects
- Proficient in identifying and resolving inventory transaction deviations, perform daily cycle counts, and be recognizable as process expert in the materials department
- Responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled and shipped
- Must be able to meet department KPI standards (productivity, quality, cost and pick time)
- Ensure all raw material and components are received into warehouse in good order, moved to proper locations in FIFO order daily, and stored or moved in such a way as to prevent product damage or deterioration

Skills & Requirements
The ideal candidate for this role will bring demonstrated success in a warehouse environment. Additionally, they will have acquired the following qualifications and experiences:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Associates Degree in Logistics or a related field is preferable
- Must be able to read and write English
- Minimum of 3-5 years of people and warehouse leadership experience in manufacturing environment
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, climb ladders and stand or walk about the warehouse throughout scheduled shift
- Must be reliable and on time to work each day
- Duties must be performed timely and accurately, with clear communication as appropriate, in a safe manner that achieves department productivity, quality and cost targets, all while maintaining good housekeeping using the principles of 5S.
- Experience operating forklifts, hand jacks and any other warehouse equipment
- Ability to perform basic math skills and measurements
- Other duties as assigned
