Skylos Sports Medicine, a BluePearl Veterinary Partner, is looking for a highly motivated & team-oriented Veterinary Assistant for our Ellicott City location.  

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 / hour
This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through CareerTrax leveling system.
 

We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends.

*Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum.

For example:

• Mon – Fri: 6pm to 8am = $4.00 Shift Differential

• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.50 Shift Differential

• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $4.00 Shift Differential

Founded by Drs. Peter and Faith Lotsikas, Skylos Sports Medicine is an orthopedic and rehabilitation specialty practice that provides a unique concierge level of care for patients and their guardians in Ellicott City and Frederick, Maryland.  

The successful candidate will possess a professional work ethic, a positive compassionate attitude, and excellent communication skills. In addition to superior patient care, our assistants should also enjoy providing client education as this is integral to our practice.  

Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:  

• Assisting with patient evaluation and examination  

• Assisting Technicians throughout the surgical day  

• Patient Restraint  

• Equipment maintenance and sterilization  

• Administration of medications and treatments  

• Client education and communication  

Job Requirements:  

• Minimum of 1-year veterinary experience  

• Team oriented yet self-motivated to problem solve and think ahead  

• Reliable work attendance  

• Motivated by educating peers and clients  

• Driven by providing excellent customer service and the best patient care possible  

• Willingness to learn and grow
