This is a role for someone who craves a challenge balanced by the desire to be accountable for delivering against the model in the largest business unit for Kraft Heinz. It is both a strategic and a tactical position. Those that do not want to get their hands dirty or build out a function against a blank slate without buying pre-packaged solutions should not apply.

Our Accounting team is looking for a Manager to lead the Product Costing group in the monthly close process for complex external manufacturing locations, which includes overseeing product costing transactions and processes for all US and CAN external manufacturing locations. As a Manager, you will help identify process improvement needs within the team and implement corrective actions. This person will also help ensure the appropriate design and operating effectiveness of the internal control and policy/procedural environments governing operational and transactional accounting.

Key Components of the role:

•       Provide oversight and guidance to the external manufacturing finance team to ensure procedures and controls are adhered to

•       Review of analysts and senior analysts work during the monthly close process, including inventory reconciliations and true-ups, journal entry preparation, and balance sheet reconciliations

•       Help develop new processes, systems and/or policies (from an accounting/controls perspective) as needed by the business to support growth, business change, and/or “continuous improvement” initiatives

•       Partner with cross functional teams including: Supply Chain Finance, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Inventory Controls

•       Support all financial related audits including compliance, internal, external, and SOX

•       Draft and/or update existing financial, accounting and other business policies, including technical accounting guidance, as needed, to support the business

•       Directly supervise analyst and senior analyst staff, including general hiring and training, assigning and directing work, and appraising performance

Minimum Qualifications:

•       Accounting or Finance Degree required

•       Minimum 4 years of experience in a complex environment with escalating levels of responsibility

•       Superior written and oral communication skills

•       Proven analytical and problem-solving skills

•       Ability to show initiative and make impactful decisions

•       Strong understanding of internal controls

•       Advanced abilities in Excel and PowerPoint

•       Tableau and Snowflake experience a plus

•       Technology savvy with demonstrated ability to learn systems and processes quickly

•       Cost accounting experience desired

•       SAP knowledge strongly desired
