About the role

Lead by example, with a positive outlook, through practice and work habit, a desire to follow all policies and procedures in the plant environment to develop and maintain a safe, efficient, high quality, low waste workplace and maximize the development of the personnel they lead.
Demonstrate the ability to accomplish tasks through thoughtful delegation to others in the work group.
Train, coach and enforce all company safety policies.
Train personnel to operate, adjust, repair, and maintain the machinery, performing the most complex work with the assistance of maintenance personnel.
Perform quality inspections periodically to ensure manufactured product meets standards.
Complete all required checklists and paperwork for each shift.
Provide feedback to the Plant Manager or Human Resources on the performance of the department and assist in performance reviews of the personnel they lead.
Maintain attendance records in order to reconcile payroll information.
Set print and gauge printers.
Ensure weekly Behavioral Observations and Stop Cards are being completed consistently and correctly.
Take initiative to continue to grow mechanical knowledge by volunteering for special projects.
Must be able to work overtime as needed, including Saturdays and holidays.
Ensure incoming shift comes into a clean work environment with equipment in good working order, even if this requires you to stay over past the end of your shift.
