Senior Water Advisors (Three Positions) (Natural Resource Specialist 5)

Job Description:

The Oregon Water Resources Department is seeking three Senior Water Advisors to make an impact in addressing complex water challenges across Oregon. Are you a passionate and experienced senior level natural resources professional with a proven track record in equity focused high level collaboration and coordination to address sensitive and critical statewide issues? These senior level staff positions will work on priority statewide issues as well as complex issues in priority basins. For example, one position’s project portfolio will include resolving water rights issues with the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation (CTUIR) and work on bi-state, tri-sovereign issues in the Walla Walla basin. The second position’s portfolio will include the Harney Basin, which currently faces unique challenges and opportunities in water management. The third position will focus on the Deschutes Basin, where groundwater-surface water interactions and a basin mitigation program are priority issues.
