Colgate-Palmolive is actively searching for a highly motivated individual to join the Research & Innovation Oral Care Group, Global R&D.  This Research Technician position will support both chemistry and biology research areas by performing routine and specialized laboratory tasks. This role involves operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, preparing and analyzing samples, maintaining laboratory supplies and ensuring compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.

 

What you will do:

 

  • Conduct experiments and tests as per established procedures and protocols.

  • Record and analyze data accurately, ensuring reliable and reproducible results.

  • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, including verifications and coordination of repairs or calibrations with vendors.

  • Manage inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents, including ordering and stocking.

  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

  • Properly handle, store, and dispose of chemicals and biological materials in accordance with regulations.

  • Work closely with scientists and other team members to support ongoing projects.

  • Communicate findings and observations effectively through written reports and/or presentations.
     

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Associate's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field.

  • Proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment.

  • Previous experience in a laboratory setting.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field

  • Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and regulations.

  • Ability to lift and move laboratory equipment and materials.

  • Capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
