Senior Sales Director, North America

Your impact
You will leverage your enthusiasm, engagement and experience as a Sales professional to identify, develop and manage new and existing accounts, ranging in size. You will take responsibility for your success and continuously drive to utilize Intelsat solutions with your customer. You will act as the voice of the customer inside internally to provide up to date information on current and changing in the North America market. You faced significant quotas in the past and you are up for the next challenge. You will manage important and well-established customers and close high value deals.
What you will do
- Identifying and Developing Accounts: You’ll be responsible for identifying and managing both new and existing accounts. Your focus will be on building strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and proposing Intelsat solutions to meet those needs.
- Revenue Growth and Deal Closure: Your negotiation skills will come into play as you close complex deals and generate revenue growth. Being a skilled negotiator will be essential in achieving success.
- Customer Service and Collaboration: You’ll be the go-to person for your client group, collaborating with other departments as needed. Stellar customer service and effective communication will be critical.
- Sharing Expertise and Guidance: As a seasoned professional, you’ll share your advanced knowledge and provide guidance to colleagues. Your leadership skills will shine as you support coordination activities and contribute to procedures and methods.
- Strategic Thinking and Market Analysis: You’ll assist leaders in developing and implementing sales plans, ensuring they meet or exceed objectives. Continuously analyzing Intelsat’s position in the network sector will be part of your strategic thinking.
- Sales Proposals and Marketing Materials: Keeping customers informed about the latest Intelsat sales proposals and marketing materials is essential. You’ll work closely with clients to uncover new opportunities and requirements.
- Feedback and Differentiated Services: Providing direct feedback to internal stakeholders (such as product teams) will help shape Intelsat’s offerings. Developing unique selling propositions and delivering differentiated services will set you apart.
- Salesforce and Pipeline Management: Daily use of Salesforce will help you maintain an active and accurate pipeline. Weekly sales reports and schedules will keep leadership informed.
Your required experience/skills
- A university degree is required, although an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of recent, relevant sales experience in the telecommunications and Mobile Network Operators (MNO) sectors.
- Being able to communicate effectively in the language of Networks, Enterprise, and MNO verticals is crucial.
- Proficiency in the MS Office Suite.
- You should possess a proven ability to create solutions that meet customer needs, bridging the gap between the satellite industry and other technologies.
- Demonstrated experience in closing high-value, complex deals with a wide range of customers is important. Ability to autonomously close standard deals.
- Success in selling into large telco operators, including having a solid existing network of contacts within the industry.
- Understanding of the full sales lifecycle.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 40%, with minimal international travel.
