About the role
We’re looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our D&M Leasing team in Fort Worth. In this role, you’ll play a key part in the month-end close process, financial reporting, and overall accounting operations for our corporate entities. You’ll also serve as the primary contact for all external audits and tax return preparation, while supporting special projects and financial analysis as needed.

Major Duties and Essential Functions
· Leading all external audit and tax preparation through the coordination and distribution of documents for Hernco and Holdings entities.
· Assist in reviewing monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
· Produce enterprise financial statement for Hernco and Holdings
· Produce monthly financial statement for bank partners
· Assist Controller / CAO with month-end gross reconciliation, balance sheet review, executive bonus calculations, and expense variances.
· Work with the F&I department and the company's finance company on Contract in Transit collection and other projects as needed.
· Run requested cash flow, expense, and income analysis as needed
· Create CDK enterprise reporting, creation of departments,and consolidated reporting.
· Ability to view, run reports, and merge data from all company systems, including all related systems: CarTrack, Paylocity, CDK, QuickBooks, and Sage.
· Supports D&M Controller, CAO, and CFO with various projects and tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
-CPA or currently pursuing CPA strongly preferred
-Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, ideally within the automotive industry using CDK
-Experience in payroll processing required, preferably within an automotive dealership or finance company
-Proficiency in CDK, QuickBooks, Excel, Access, and standard desktop software
-Familiarity with CDK schedules and vehicle titling is a plus
-Strong attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and reliability
-Professional, assertive communicator—especially when working with lenders, dealerships, sales agents, and managers
-Flexible and team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
-High degree of integrity, aligned with company values and focused on exceeding expectations
