About The Role:

The Associate Director, Watches and Fine Jewelry (WFJ) is a brand ambassador and business leader focused on delivering extraordinary experiences for the internal team, out of home base associates and clients. They will be responsible for driving the business of the WFJ product category within the Multibrand Boutique Business (MBB), coaching and managing a team of salespeople, and equipping the Boutique Director with critical business knowledge. The Associate Director will develop, strategize, and evolve client outreach programs that support the brand vision and category sales objectives, exceeding quarterly and annual turnover goals.

  • Through spending time on the selling floor, coach and inspire team to deliver an elevated client experience for all clients at all times

  • Provide initial and frequent ongoing training and development for all team members, including Chanel savoir faire, WFJ product details and service delivery
  • Drive all aspects of watches, fine jewelry and high-end product categories, including analysis, reporting, assortment planning, and partnership with Home Office Sales and Commercial teams
  • Develop strong partnerships with the 5th Ave Club and other out of home base (OOHB) communities, acting as Chanel WFJ liaison to foster welcoming and inclusive selling environment
  • Run WFJ product category and lead team with agility and resilience, continuously improving based on key performance indicators and lessons learned
  • Operational oversight to direct Operations team on complex WFJ product process (ie. Shipping / Receiving / Internal Transfers / BPMS / Packaging, GIA Certificates)
  • Ensure WFJ Department is merchandised strictly adhering to WFJ Fashion Visual Merchandising (VM) guidelines at all times.
  • Represent Chanel in the market, developing the client base through community involvement, partnerships with local high-profile businesses, as well as social and seasonal events
  • Maximize short, medium and long-term client retention with keen analytic mindset
  • Identify and target high potential clients and create special experiences to increase High End business retention
  • Create and maintain an organized department to facilitate access for employees leveraging existing best practices, fostering confidence in others while accessing and selling WFJ.
  • Partner with local CHANEL Boutiques to create a shared culture of WFJ best practices

Position Logistics:

  • Minimum 5 years of related experience; previous WFJ leadership experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • Ability to lift 15 lbs.
  • A flexible schedule with the ability to work late nights, weekends, and some holidays
