The Sr. Manager, Data Engineer will support enterprise-wide data science and financial modeling initiatives. This position will be focused on developing and ensuring alignment of all models and analytics with direct financial impact on the organization. This position is expected to have data transformation, data integrity experience, thorough proficiency in related technology, and solid knowledge of the mortgage business. This role will partner with data science teams and teams outside of Finance that maintain responsibility for development and maintenance of integrated data platform and models affecting their business unit or department. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis.
Job Functions and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Design and implement processes and platforms for data exploration, focusing on data integration, transformation, and scalability
- Aggregate data and ensure accuracy of data and metrics
- Work with cross section of leadership and team members throughout the organization to understand, develop, and share ad hoc analytics, reports, and models
- Work with data science group and senior leadership to support the financial data strategy for Finance and data science models including the centralization of key metrics and results that financially impact the organization
- Contribute to multiple projects through all phases in a timely and effective manner
- Provide highest level of internal and external customer service

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in data transformation and reporting
- Advanced level understanding of model development
- Minimum of 10 years’ mortgage experience required with experience in Servicing data analysis
- Four-year degree from an accredited university in finance, engineering, technology or equivalent experience required
- Advanced degree from an accredited university preferred but not required
- Minimum 7 years proficiency with T-SQL required.
- Experience with SSRS and Power BI a plus
Training / Licensing Requirements:
- Must pass the Company’s Background Screening process prior to beginning employment. Additionally, as a condition of employment, you may be required to pass client-specific background check requirements or Federal/State licensing requirements, if applicable.
The salary range for this position is expected to be $130,000 – $160,000 per year, depending on geographic location, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for annual bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans.
