Halcyon was formed in 2021 by a team of cyber industry veterans after battling the scourge of ransomware (and advanced threats) for years at some of the largest global security vendors. The Role:
Halcyon’s goal is to deliver an anti-ransomware solution that breaks new ground as to what a security product can deliver. Aligned with this goal, Halcyon is looking for an experienced security engineer to help ensure our product is as secure as possible. A high level of security in Halcyon’s product increases our customers' protection against the threat of ransomware.
Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and run automated fuzzing systems to surface issues in our product

Run automated code analysis systems, eliminate false positives, prioritize true positives, and communicate the results to the stakeholders

Interface with third party security companies conducting code reviews and penetration tests, helping them to eliminate false positives and prioritize true positives, ultimately communicating the results of their reports to internal stakeholders

Assist the compliance team with product-security related tasks
Skills and Qualifications:
-
Experience developing in Python
-
Familiarity with languages such as C/C++, SQL

Experience with debugging and root-cause analysis of software issues

Ability to compile and use open source security software

Knowledge of Windows' security architecture

Good written and verbal communication with an ability to write technical documentation

Experience with Intel assembly for debugging or binary analysis purposes
Bonus Skills and Qualifications:

Familiarity with languages such as Rust and Scala

Understanding of Linux, and Linux’s security architecture
