Operations Manager

<p>The Operations Manager is responsible for the direct oversight of ABM shift supervisors, lead workers and front-line employees supporting various scopes of work at a manufacturing facility. Specific responsibilities include work scheduling of all account personnel, establishing work standards, conducting site evaluations, audits, overall inventory/equipment usage, budget control, employee performance appraisals, troubleshooting/problem solving, orientation, training and support personnel, customer relations, and special project work as requested. The Operations Manager is further responsible for ensuring that productivity levels and customer service requirements are being met and that supervisor, leads and frontline employees are complying with all safety, quality and compliance standards established by the company, by our client and by regulatory authorities. This position reports directly to the Site Manager.</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for administering and/or implementing policies, systems, programs, processes, procedures and/or plans for all on-site operations</li> <li>Maintains staff by working with HR to recruit, select, and train employees; ensures a safe and secure work environment and develops personal growth opportunities.</li> <li>Establish and maintain effective lines of communication with the client and other personnel to ascertain that their needs and requirements related to the contract are being satisfied.</li> <li>Comply with all safety and security procedures established by the company, by our clients and by regulatory authorities.</li> <li>Contributes to the overall success of the department by performing other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned</li> <li>Enforces ABM rules and policies regarding employee conduct by advising personnel of the company's rules and policies, issuing verbal warnings and written reprimands for violations, and recommending progressive disciplinary action to the immediate supervisor as appropriate.</li> <li>Promotes positive employer / employee / customer relationships and interactions.</li> <li>Implements employee training and skill enhancement programs and provides structured employee disciplinary procedures.</li> <li>Delivers world class training programs that ensure team members remain attentive to job duties</li> <li>Analyzes and resolves quality and customer service problems, identifies trends and recommends opportunities for program improvements</li> <li>Effectively coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees under ABM direction,</li> <li>Sets a positive and professional example for the workforce.</li> <li><span>Review payroll daily to ensure employee clock ins are accurate and submit WFM's should there be any exceptions and well to manage any short punches that could potentially put us over budget and unprofitable.</span></li> <li><span>Manage our weekly hours to make sure we are staying within the parameters of our budget.</span></li> <li><span>Operational supplies will be ordered Ix monthly unless an urgent or an ad hoc project requires additional supplies.</span></li> <li><span>Ensure our equipment is being maintained to ensure ABM employees have all the tools needed to conduct their daily duties.</span></li> <li>Job duties may be modified at anytime to ensure ABM's success.</li> </ul> <p><span>Building Value</span></p> <ul> <li>Understanding of mechanical and electrical system operations.</li> <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills</li> <li>Ability to train, manage and develop a team</li> <li>High energy level with strong commitment to service quality</li> </ul> <p><span>Additional Duties:</span></p> <ul> <li>Daily overview of payroll</li> <li>Weekly timely submittal of payroll</li> <li>Consumable inventory to ensure customer required Par levels are maintained </li> <li>Site quality and Swop inspection to ensure a safety work environment.</li> <li>5 years of operational experience in managing diverse teams</li> <li>Previous operational experience working in a manufacturing facility strongly desired but not required</li> <li>Ability to work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends if needed.</li> <li>Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals and handbooks.</li> <li>Strong computer skills</li> </ul> <p></p> <div> ABM (NYSE: ABM) is one of the world’s largest providers of integrated facility, engineering, and infrastructure solutions.
