Position Overview

TAG is seeking a software engineer to contribute to the development and optimization of our scheduling and patient flow systems. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining applications that power intelligent scheduling, appointment management, and patient flow coordination across multiple healthcare brands. The ideal candidate has experience in front-end or full-stack development, a strong understanding of API-driven workflows, and a passion for improving user experience and operational efficiency. As a software engineer on the scheduling and patient flow team, you will work closely with product managers, UX designers, and backend engineers to develop intuitive and scalable solutions that improve patient access and provider efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain scheduling and patient flow applications, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability

  • Implement front-end components using modern frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular

  • Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs that support real-time appointment scheduling and patient management

  • Optimize UI/UX for scheduling workflows, reducing friction for patients and providers

  • Implement A/B testing and experimentation using tools such as Optimizely or VWO to improve conversion rates and user engagement

  • Ensure system security, data integrity, and compliance with healthcare standards

  • Work closely with stakeholders to refine technical requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to scheduling algorithms, data syncing, and API integrations

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on front-end or full-stack development

  • Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and front-end frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular

  • Experience integrating APIs and working with RESTful or GraphQL services

  • Familiarity with backend development using Node.js, Python, or Java is a plus

  • Understanding of scheduling algorithms, queue management, or real-time systems is beneficial

  • Experience with A/B testing platforms such as Optimizely, VWO, or Google Optimize

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, agile environment

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git version control, and cloud-based deployment strategies

Annual Salary Range: $105,000-$120,000, with a generous benefits package that includes paid time off, health, dental, vision, and 401(k) savings plan with match
