<p>&nbsp;</p> <h1><strong>Licensed Veterinary Technician</strong></h1> <p>Horse Heaven Hills Pet Urgent Care and Veterinary Center is hiring a full-time or part-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care to our patients and exceptional service to our clients. Depending on PT or FT status between 20-40 hours per week</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Reports To: </strong>Lead Veterinary Technician</p> <h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Perform laboratory procedures (e.g., manual differentials, cytology, urinalysis)</li> <li>Obtain and record patient data, including vitals and medical history</li> <li>Administer treatments and medications under DVM supervision</li> <li>Calculate drug dosages and create anesthetic plans</li> <li>Place and maintain IV catheters</li> <li>Induce and monitor anesthesia for various procedures</li> <li>Assist in surgical preparation, monitoring, and recovery, adhering to sterile techniques</li> <li>Perform dental prophylaxis and acquire dental radiographs</li> <li>Communicate patient updates and discharge instructions to clients</li> <li>Provide client education on preventative medicine, wellness care, and medication administration</li> <li>Prepare and review treatment plans and estimates with clients</li> <li>Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Shepherd</li> <li>Assist with emergency resuscitative situations and remain calm under pressure</li> <li>Support reception staff and assist with inventory management</li> <li>Follow DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines</li> <li>Work effectively in a fast-paced urgent care environment</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Qualifications</strong></h2> <h3><strong>Required:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>High sch
