ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Principal Cloud Engineer to join our Digital Practice. This is a Hybrid position located in Herndon, VA. 

The Digital Practice provides end-to-end cloud solutions for workloads in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle, enhancing the Customer’s mission through innovation, speed, agility, security, and resiliency.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Leading the design, development and delivery of prototypes and cloud-native solutions. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize applications that leverage cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Oracle, or Google Cloud. 
• Setting technical direction, mentoring development teams, and ensuring the performance, scalability, and security of cloud-based solutions.
• Assisting with solutioning for proposals

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field; an additional 6 years of technology experience might be substituted for a degree.
• 9+ years of experience in architecture or engineering with a focus on cloud technologies.
• Extensive experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Oracle, Google Cloud).
• Strong proficiency in cloud-native development frameworks, microservices architecture, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, Go, or similar.
• Strong understanding of APIs, RESTful services, and API gateways.
• Knowledge of cloud security practices, including identity management, encryption, and secure coding.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., CDK, Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in related field.
• Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Developer, Azure Developer Associate, or Google Professional Cloud Developer.
• Experience with agile development methodologies.
• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
• Familiarity with modern data processing frameworks and tools in the cloud (e.g., Kafka, Spark).

Clearance Requirements:

• Must have an active TS/SCI w/ CI Poly.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
