As an Associate Process Manager in the Consumer Bank Marketing team, you will work closely with peers and managers to implement the team's vision and efforts to develop, integrate, and optimize our marketing operational tools and infrastructure. This role provides an opportunity to work in partnership with our Chase technology development teams, marketing end users, and Control partners to provide project management disciplines, practices, and rigor to assigned marketing process redesign and tool automation projects within an established control environment.
Ultimately, you will achieve success by helping to execute the vision for the automation of key marketing execution processes and increase speed to market initiatives within a streamlined set of tools and applications.
Job Responsibilities
- Establishing strong working knowledge of marketing processes and tool functionality and how they are used for marketing campaign development and execution. (e.g., Optima, Adtrax, Workfront, etc.)
- Collaborate for existing roles on Oversight team to develop a thorough understanding of roles, functions, and responsibilities.
- Analyze operational data and continually gathering feedback from Consumer Bank Marketing team and Cross Line of Business partners to identify new opportunities for process improvement or functionality enhancements.
- Develop product “enhancement” requirements for the marketing automation development team and work to establish them on the implementation roadmap.
- Work with marketing automation team to ensure proper prioritization of activities and deliverables on the roadmap.
- Partner on the development and roll-out of functionality, including but not limited to establishing and facilitating testing and training for marketing partners.
- Thoughtfully evaluating challenges and impactful issues, conducting analysis with the user community, and recommending cross functional solutions to development partners for process improvements and enhancements.
- Provide regular communications with marketing delivery, marketing strategy and controls teams regarding updates, changes, new functionality, issues, etc. Work across all marketing teams as Change Management communicator to prepare them for effective usage and understanding of tool functionality and process.
- Work with all marketing functional areas to learn the Consumer Bank Marketing Operating Model and key support processes with the goal being to fully understand our end-to-end marketing processes, control points, and key business partner hand-offs.
- Develop strong relationships with Marketing/Functional business partners and key stakeholders as a trusted resource / partner within the Marketing Oversight team structure.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Proven track record with 3+ years of experience with project management, leading complex initiatives and process change, and previous marketing campaign execution knowledge and/or prior Business Management experience.
- Formal project management skills and strong learning agility to know the work processes and tools and applications which will enable you to speak specifically about operational processes and tool functionality.
- Demonstrated learning agility to develop and grow into other assigned work responsibilities by cross training within the functional areas on the Marketing Oversight team to support our Risk and Control agenda and team mission. Support and assume other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
- Comfortable level with making logical / educated recommendations to optimize and re-prioritize workflows and must be comfortable with continuously changing priorities and project demands.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively to positively contribute and work within a strong, team focused environment to achieve results. Ability to lead and influence people at all levels within the department. Be a culture carrier.
- Strong sense of urgency and proven ability and desire to learn and recall information quickly, be flexible and think strategically while applying good common sense and practical solutions.
